As a kid, we spent a lot of time exploring & fishing almost every body of water in Alberta. I grew up half in a small town...& my summers were spent, happily working the farm. As I got older, I worked oil-field & construction. While building was demanding hard work, it was also a lot of fun. As a Realtor today, that past building/construction experience is invaluable. It's extremely helpful to know what to look for...& be able to spot potential deficiencies in a property.
In my late teens, I began teaching Martial Arts. I taught private lessons as well as large group classes to every spectrum of the social demographic. This included teaching the artform itself, self-defense to the general public & hand to hand combat to Police & Military. I genuinely enjoyed teaching & wondered how I could help even more people with this knowledge. As a result, I started a business providing personal protection. It was at that time, that I realized my purpose...& just how much I enjoyed the role of protector.
In early 1997, I began my Real Estate career. I brought that same inherent 'need to protect' into Real Estate. Listening to peoples needs...& treating each investment decision as if it were my own.
